Peter Willis
Peter Willis is a change agent who for twenty years has been creating spaces for decision-makers to think beyond normal limitations about their major challenges and opportunities.
Peter formed Cape- Town based Conversations that Count in 2014 to provide strategic facilitation and mentoring services. He is widely recognised as a master practitioner in the facilitation of strategic dialogue and innovation and works with leading organisations in all sectors. Peter goes as deep and far as required to tackle the most challenging and complex issues, but always with a light touch.
For twelve years he was the South African Director of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He designed and facilitated numerous senior executive programmes, including theprestigious Prince of Wales Business & Sustainability Programme, working closely with many corporate leaders in Africa and globally.
From his arrival in South Africa in 1993 he worked in the environmental and sustainability NGO sector, including four years as Regional Director of The Natural Step.
He grew up in the UK and studied medieval history at Oxford University. His entrepreneurial spirit resulted in
a short career in the British government in Whitehall, followed by teaching in inner London primary schools and then creating two art publishing businesses before heading for the southern hemipshere.
Peter and his South African wife Diane are deeply committed to helping South Africa to liberate itself.
He mentors a number of young, previously disadvantaged men and women starting out on their careers,
as well as several senior professionals.
