Björn Larsson - CEO

Björn Larsson, CEO of The ForeSight Group, thrives in the intersection between commercialism and humanism where things work and have a meaning.

Björn is a Swede with a background as economist, journalist and diplomat with experience from Europe, Africa, Asia and the US. In 1997 he joined the ForeSight Group which he now leads. The ForeSight Group has, since its start in 1979, worked with some 180 companies. Through its approach it has offered more than 3.5 million employees opportunities to contribute to corporate innovation and renewal entrepreneurially.

Together with his ForeSight strike team colleagues Björn has applied the ForeSight entrepreneurial approach leveraging major initiatives relevant to our times, including;

  • Passionate Investments, initiated as a partnership with the oldest bank in Scandinavia, Swedbank, designed to support the bank´s Family Office clients and later its retail clients to co-invest, leverage and scale what works well in terms of social- and environmental activities globally (commercial as well as philanthropic). President Bill Clinton and Judith Rodin, President of the Rockefeller Foundation, recognized the initiative for its innovation at the closing plenary of a Clinton Global Initiative AGM in New York. Today Passionate Investments is being further developed and expanded supported by ForeSight´s on big data backed research; The Rise of the Meaningful Economy, published on Amazon.

Björn as an expert on entrepreneurially leveraging major initiatives relevant to our times, also serves as chair of the global advisory board and/or advices;

  • We Don´t Have Time (Stockholm), the world´s largest media platform for climate solutions (monthly outreach 200+ million)

  • PVBLIC Foundation (New York) mobilizing media, data and technology for social impact (so far 100+ campaigns having engaged 1 billion+)

  • Future Capital Summit (held at the UN New York)

  • The Chief Creative Officer of the UN (recent campaigns “Don´t Choose Extinction” outreach 2 billion+ & “Weather Kids” 2.5 billion)

  • the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (Brussels) which he co-founded, organizing 100 major institutions world-wide including INSEAD, London Business School, Aviva, IBM & Glaxo Smith Kline,

He is further a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, a founding member of the Global Impact Investment Network (GIIN), and Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts (RSA), UK, as well as an Aspen Institute Fellow, US.

He is also an International Ambassador for The World´s Children´s Prize since its inception in year 2000. It has become the world´s largest education and empowerment initiative on rights and democracy for the next generation to which Nobel laureates Nelson Mandela (posthumous), Malala Yousafzai, José Ramos-Horta and Joseph Stiglitz are patrons.

He enjoys his family of four and friends from all walks of life and is, to put it mildly, addicted to good music.
